The relationship between citizens and the CP of my choosing are very close. The organization depends on citizens to help and provide support for those in need. Maple Street Shelter does not have a kitchen and is nonprofit therefore they highly depend on others to volunteer their time and bring along some food as well. It is up to a good samaritan to give back to their community because the sad fact is that hunger does not go away and each year a high number of people die of starvation. Therefore if we can just spend a few hours giving back to prevent this tragedy then maybe our nation will be able to grow powerfully with citizens in its healthiest and fullest potential.

There is tension between the state and local levels government partly because one may want more power or authority for the best interest of the people living within the state and city. There are many different ways local governments have more power for their area, however many of their actions must be overviewed or approved by the state government. There are also in some ways that local governments do not want the input of state governments. For instance with mandates, state governments have a different perspectives on it because they see it as necessary to ensure that vital activities will be done and that goals will be achieved. However for local officials, they view it as unnecessary and inappropriate when it comes to areas in recreation, economic development and just general government administration. Both state and local governments are very influential and there is tension between the too when it comes to money and power but it can be seen as healthy because their main goal or priority is for the people living within the state they are governing. They are only trying to do what's best and convenient for their area of governing.

The first choices of where I would like to do my hours may need actual input is because they are not sufficiently funded or supported by the government. There are I'm sure quite a few helpful sources that are meant for people in need within the community but because it is nonprofit, it depends on the help of others. It is I'm sure affected by Federal Policies in some way but only if their organization is not following legal procedures.
